Original Thain's Death System Description.
If you choose to use this death system you can not change your mind until level 20 and the following happens when you reach 0 hit points:
1. You will start to bleed and call for assistance.
2. Each round you are bleeding you will roll a 100 sided dice to see if your character stabalized or not. This roll is a percent chance to stabalize and it is based on your characters constitution. A character with a constitution of 10 will get a 24% chance to stabalize in round one, and the percent chance will decrease with every round to no less than 5%. To make a successful roll you must roll lower than the percent on a 100 sided dice. Example, to succeed on the first round you'd have to roll less than 24.
3. You will bleed and roll dice until you reach -9 hitpoints.
3a. If you stabalize you will heal 1 hit point per round until you stand up, at which time all of the monsters around you will begin to attack you after 3 seconds. ( A short time to start to run )
4. If you fail to stabalize by the time you reach -10 hitpoints your character will die and you will be given a chance to respawn.
5. You will drop an amount of gold into a purse that will lie where your character fell, and you will have a chance to retrieve it. You will also drop all relic items.
6. You will respawn to the last place you bound your character.
7. You will not be able to gain XP from killing monsters for 10 minutes per character level. This means that if your character is level 12, you will have to wait 120 minutes of IN GAME time before you will recieve experience points for killing monsters or being in a party where monsters are being killed.
7a. In the future we will support XP loss as an alternative to waiting out the time. The XP loss will de-level your character if you lose enough XP to go below your current level.
Behind you there are two switches, to choose this death system pull the switch called "I choose Original Thain Death"
Once you pull the switch there's no changing your mind until level 20. At that time you can change systems in the temple in Steinkreis.
